Our Beginnings

Hock Seng Heng Transport & Trading Pte Ltd (HSH) was registered on 18th September 2000, as a small family business, providing logistical and transportation solutions in Singapore. Starting out from a humble container office, HSH has gradually built our fleet and capabilities over time, now providing transportation services in container haulage, loose cargo, warehousing, diesel supply and lubricants products. All this was made possible through the support of our valued partners and customers who have supported HSH through the years, and through the contributions of our valued employees. Hock Seng Heng has also branched out into freight forwarding to complement our operating strength, and to provide end-to-end logistics services in Singapore.

What's in a name

The directors of Hock Seng Heng Transport & Trading had grown up in a kampung at old Jurong road. The livelihood of the kampung revolved around a company Hock Engineering, until the relocation to HDB flats in the late-80s.

When the directors set out to start the business in the late 1990s, the matriarch of the family set out a condition – that the first letter in the name must be Hock, a call back to the company that on whom we depended back in our kampung days.

This beautifully reflects the core values – partnership, loyalty, and gratitude – on which HSH was founded.

Going Forward

Hock Seng Heng will continue to focus on our core business areas and key strengths, increasing the fleet to serve our customer’s needs, providing time and cost effective solutions to our customers, and growing our lubricants business. We are also exploring the role that HSH can play in the energy transition, evaluating business opportunities that can make a lower carbon future our reality.

Future Plans

Due to the Covid19 outbreak, Hock Seng Heng Transport & Trading Pte Ltd has made some adjustments in our short-term goals within the next 3 years, we will achieve chemical storage licenses for 30 Penjuru Lane, this will enable the company to open up new revenues streams and also provide a comprehensive one stop solution to our customers which involves transportation of chemicals and flammable materials.

We will also be incorporating our workshop at 2 Fan Yoong Road into 30 Penjuru Lane, where maintenance of company’s vehicle fleets will be serviced in housed rather than going to external workshops, this will allow us to control our cost effectively and also be able to hire more skilled workers. We will also have some cost savings from rental as well as security.

Hock Seng Heng Transport & Trading Pte Ltd is also proud to announce that we have been selected as the sole distributor with Gulf Western, the largest Australian Lubricants manufacturer. This is expected to take place by Sep 2020. We will be involved in the full spectrum of the business which involves transportation, distribution, storage and sales. This will bring about a whole new stream of revenue for the company.

Hock Seng Heng Transport & Trading Pte Ltd main goal is to be an accomplished player in Logistics and warehouse industry as well as wholesales of petroleum products, bringing about environmentally friendly solutions backed up a strong automated process.
